Students compete in livestock judging career development event

Students from Effingham County Middle School, Ebenezer Middle School, Effingham County High School, South Effingham High School and South Effingham Middle School participated in the recent Central Region Livestock Judging Career Development event in Dublin.
South Effingham’ High School’s Josie Sapp, Matthew Nease, Garrett Collins and Katlyn Davis were the first-place Area 4 Senior team. They are advised by Ashley Burns.
Effingham County High School’s Colby Beard was the individual Area 4 Senior scorer. Cassie Sheppard, also of Effingham County High School, was the top Area 4 Junior scorer.
Ebenezer’s Breanna Harris, Chloe Harrelson, Isabella Ramos, Allie Shea and Haleigh Sowel won third place as a team.
Effingham County HIgh’s Beard, Josh Dickerson, Makenzie Driggers and Paige Gnann earned fourth place.
Effingham Middle’s Jacob Decker and Owen Graham; Effingham County High’s Garrett Joyner; South Effingham Middle’s Christian Willis, Kyle Suchodolski, Angel Rhodes-Brown and Lane Wood; and South Effingham High’s Austin McMahon, Jasmine Collins and Matthew Morris (Junior team) also competed.
