Two men are in custody after breaking into a Rincon police car Saturday.

An officer’s duty belt and weapon were stolen.

Corey Greg Dickson, 24, and Darrell Brent Dasher, 20, were arrested and charged with burglary 2nd degree.

Detectives from the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office were able to locate most of the stolen items and recover the weapons. This is an active investigation and more charges could be pending.
