Vincent no-hits Tigers as Rebels win shortened game

Effingham County's Blake Vincent tossed a four-inning no-hitter in a 17-0 rout of Bradwell Institute in Hinesville on Friday.

Vincent notched six strikeouts and allowed two walks.

The Rebels' dominant performance capped a Region 2-AAAAAA sweep of the Tigers. Effingham County also prevailed 5-1 on Monday and 16-1 on Wednesday. It tallied 37 runs in the final nine frames of the three-game series.

Jordan Rahn was one of the Rebels' big hitters Friday, swatting three hits and collecting four RBI. 

Effingham County scored nine runs in the third inning, nearly matching the 11 it scored in the second frame on Wednesday. The uprising featured singles by JR Lonon, Perry Fulcher and Christian Campbell, a triple by Chase Howze, a sacrifice fly by Rahn and a home run by Chrys Hawkins.

The Rebels finished with 17 hits.
