Elise Zielicke

RINCON — Maybe it’s in her DNA.

She thinks it’s because of the manner in which she was raised.

Whatever the reason, the desire to serve others is inherent in Elise Zielicke, the new executive director of United Way of the Coastal Empire-Effingham.

Zielicke has filled mulitple roles in her three years with United Way, rising from an administrative intern under former exectuve director under Bonnie Dixon to assistant director under Julie Dickey, her predecessor.

“I think that gives me a well-rounded perspective and view of United Way in our community and how we related back to our main office in Savannah,” Zielickie said. “Throughout all those changes, they were good learning opportunities and provided growth for me professionally and personally. I’m very excited about this next step because I have the support of my board, our office in Savannah and the community here.”
