A statewide call to pray for rain

Dear Georgia Citizens:

We are in difficult times as we struggle to make it through the worst drought in our state’s history. Though this burden is especially great on our agricultural workers and business owners, the impact of the drought is felt by every Georgia citizen. That is why I would like to invite you to join me to pray for rain.

I will hold a prayer service at the Washington Street entrance of the Georgia State Capitol on Nov. 13 at 11:45 a.m. and I invite you to join this service. If you are unable to join me at the State Capitol, I encourage you to organize or join a similar service in your area or take a moment by yourself to pray for rain on this day.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to this service and hope that you will join me in prayer.

Sonny Perdue
