Clearing up confusion on church name

Dear Editor,

In response to confusion in recent pastor and child molestation charges:

Apparently there has been some confusion concerning the pastor and church involved in a recent child molestation charge in Effingham County. It is a terrible situation and we pray for all that were involved.

The pastor accused is Kenneth Terrell , age 45. The Church is International Ministries Church in Bloomingdale.

Some have confused this church with International Worship Center in Faulkville, also known as IWC, where Bishop Eddie Tomberlin serves as senior pastor. International Worship Center is a strong, well-established church and Bishop Tomberlin is an upstanding citizen of Effingham County who not only serves as pastor, but also serves on the Effingham County School Board.

International Worship Center and Pastor Eddie Tomberlin wish to clear up any confusion in this matter and would like to invite the community to come and experience an incredible worship service every Sunday at 9 a.m. or 11 a.m. and Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m.

IWC has also recently launched a community wide campaign facilitating a common place for members of our local community to meet the needs of one another at www.LOVEISHERE.com  It is our desire to positively impact our community in every way possible.

IWC is currently meeting in the Marlow Learning Center while their new facility is being built on Highway 17 in Faulkville. For more information please visit our Web site at www.iwclive.com.  To contact one of our staff you may call 748-7308 or email info@iwclive.com.
