Congratulations on the Courthouse restoration

Dear Editor,

I was unable to attend the ceremony for the re-opening of the Courthouse last week due to illness in my family.

I want to congratulate the commissioners, the committee, the construction company and all who had a part in this restoration. It was certainly a job well done. It is a wonderful thing for Effingham County and something to be proud of.

It has a special meaning for me because my grandfather, William Jaudon, was sheriff when it was first built and dedicated in 1909. I’m quite sure that Sheriff Jaudon would be proud and appreciative that this project was taken on and completed in such a grand way

Thanks to all who had a part in this restoration.
