In this day and age, when the VA is slammed for so much indifference toward our nation’s veterans, they finally got something right. With a grant from the VA and the help from many volunteers from the Home Depot and American Legion Post 209 in Springfield, I was able to get a ramp built. I had been trying to get help from VA for a very long time.
Finally, through the efforts of George Groce and Commander Tommy Pierce, who helped in coordination with VA and Home Depot, the job got done. The help of all the volunteers from all sources to provide me with a ramp and the renovation of front porch is immeasurable in terms of gratitude.
Hats off to all that helped make my life easier! Thank you all, and God bless each of you!
