Magistrate judge will not seek re-election

To the citizens of Effingham County,

It has been my honor to serve you as your chief magistrate for the past 12 years. I wish to thank my supporters, coworkers, family and friends who supported me in this position.

I would like to take this opportunity to announce that I will not be seeking re-election as the chief magistrate of Effingham County when my term is fulfilled in December. After 52 years of working, I have decided to retire.

Again, it has been my pleasure to serve the citizens of Effingham County.
