Fear: False Evidence Appearing Real

Don’t give in to it. Don’t let the drumbeaters and the naysayers bring down your faith. Don’t let the panic-driving media get under your skin.

Have you still got a dollar in your wallet? Let that be the seed for growing more. Take that dollar bill out once a day and tell yourself that that dollar will soon become a thousand. Or ten. Or a hundred. Heck, even five. Hold that dollar and believe that everything you ask for, with faith, will come to you.

That is the universal law.

There is energy in everything, and that includes money. Anything that remains static will never reproduce so it is important that you not only make money, but spend it as well.

This is not to say that you should go out and blow your life savings, but to just keep the ebb and flow constant. The circle goes out but ultimately comes back. Be as generous as you can with those less fortunate — and you can do that it in many ways — and you will be circulating your money or your blessings so that more of it will come back to you.

I get a lot of negative response because I like to give things away. I’m always chided for not selling my possessions, but I can’t. I’ve never felt comfortable selling, unless I was in a pinch, but more often than not, I’ve given away. Happily so, too. When I’ve used the item I’m letting go of, there is still good use for it for someone else. I’ve never regretted it, either. I know that a lot of my things went to other people who had good use for them.

Don’t buy into that old saying “Money is the root of all evil.” It isn’t. The Love of Money is. We can’t live without money, but we can live without the destruction that money causes if we let it.

It is important to appreciate its value and the positive things it can do for your life and for the lives of those around you. As you express your appreciation of it, you will draw more of it toward you. The same goes for love, health, friends … the more you express thankfulness and gratitude, the more you will draw those things into your life.

Don’t forget, though, that being negative or thinking “lack” will ultimately keep bringing that to you, too. If you want more, you have to ask for more, without doubt. Without reservation. The asking is perfect with faith and gratitude behind it.

We all know about “the Ripple Effect,” don’t we? One kind word, one small kind gesture…like dropping a pebble into a pond. Everything we think and do affects the people around us, and their reactions affect those around them.

Remember the old shampoo commercial about how one girl told her friend about the shampoo and she told another friend, and so on … and so on … and so on…?

That is the Ripple Effect. Or the Butterfly Effect, which is what could happen when a butterfly moves its wings, causing the air to circulate in many different ways thereby inducing hurricanes, tornados, etc. just by moving its wings a fraction differently.

When you open your mouth to say something to someone, whether it be a co-worker, your child, your neighbor, or someone at the store who just ticked you off, think about those words before they come out of your mouth. You would much rather be the cause of a warm sunny day than the dark-filled sky of a tornado, right?

Words are one thing you can never take back. Once they’re out there, you’re pretty much stuck with them.

I remember one time telling Sunnybuns he was “a dummy” for doing something a particular way. I didn’t say it with animosity, I said it in a teasing sort of way. He was 4 years old and he has never forgotten it.

I’ve said much worse to other people in the past, and its sure come back to bite me on the hiney.

Think about the things you think or the things you say. They have a far greater impact on the world than you could ever fathom.

Even though it seems to be much easier to buy into fear and panic, it’s so much more beneficial to change that tone and move in a positive direction.

Even with our upside down stock market and the country’s financial woes, take the curveball it may have thrown you and figure out how to turn it around. What “wake up call” did you get recently?

Don’t fear it. Embrace it.

Remember: God answers prayers without ceasing: Thessalonians 5:17.

I know, I know, you didn’t expect this from me, but there you have it. That’s the deal, and it’s for real.
