Fripp earns all-state recognition

South Effingham senior Jacob Fripp was named to the Class AAAAAA All-State boys golf team as an honorable mention by the Georgia High School Golf Coaches Association recently.

Fripp shot a 2-under 70 to earn medalist honors while leading the Mustangs to a second-place finish at the Area 1-AAAAAA Championships at Southern Landings Golf Club in Warner Robins.

At state, Fripp had a two-round 75-79 154 to tie for 24th on the Pine Lakes course on Jekyll Island.

South’s boys placed 12th as a team at state.
