GUYTON -- South Effingham unveiled a single-wing offensive attack Friday night and stymied powerful Brunswick for a quarter, but the high-powered Pirates regrouped and rolled past the Mustangs 38-6 Friday night at the Corral.

Cameron Edwards, who finished with 134 yards on 30 carries, scored SEHS' lone touchdown on a 3-yard run on the first play of the second quarter after the Mustangs kept possession throughout the first quarter.

SEHS (0-5, 0-2 Region 2-6A) held the lead for just 95 seconds before Brunswick's offense took over. Pirates quarterback Kj Lee threw two TD passes to Tyrease Jones, including a 91-yarder on the first possession of the third quarter.

Brunswick (4-2, 2-0 Region 2-6A) also had rushing scores from Chuckobe Hill, Ree Simmons and Jeffery Waye.

SEHS will be back in action next Friday for Homecoming at the Corral against Glynn Academy.
