Rincon Recreation’s first open U-12 soccer team enjoyed a highly successful season during the fall.

The Rincon Raiders went 5-0 against all Effingham Recreation teams, undefeated in the Savannah league and 13-1-1 overall, capping their inaugural season with a co-championship in the CGSA Soccer Cup.

“We had great support from David Wooten and the Rincon Recreation Department,” said Raiders coach Bob LeFavi. “These players and parents were very dedicated, and because of their dedication and work Rincon has been solidified as a contender in regional and state soccer.
“This is the beginning of very good things for Rincon soccer.”
