Effingham Flea girls all-stars finish third at state

The Effingham County Flea girls all-stars, playing out of Sand Hill, finished third in the Georgia Recreation and Parks Associations state tournament at Moultrie/Colquitt Countys Jim Buck Goff Complex. The Effingham County Flea girls all-stars finished third in the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association’s state tournament, held at Moultrie/Colquitt County’s Jim Buck Goff Complex.

Effingham opened with a 23-8 win over host Moultrie/Colquitt County Gold and edged Rockmart 13-12. Effingham fell 10-8 to Vidalia. Moultrie/Colquitt County Black beat Effingham 24-4 to advance to the championship round, beating Vidalia twice to win the title.

Effingham’s Junior all-stars lost 12-7 to Glynn County and 5-3 to Troup County at Augusta’s Diamond Lakes Regional Park. Grady County won the tournament.

The Effingham Mite all-stars lost 21-0 to Ware County and 19-11 to Lyons in the tournament hosted at Sand Hill Complex. Moultrie Black won the tournament.

Rincon’s Mite boys all-stars fell 9-8 to the Savannah Hot Rods and 9-3 to North Bryan County in the state tournament held at Savannah’s Paulson Complex. Cartersville Purple won the title.

The Effingham Midget all-stars lost 21-0 to Wayne County and 7-0 to Mitchell County in the state tournament played at Sand Hill Complex. Ware County won the championship.
