Effingham County golfers edged South Effingham by two shots in a three-way match Monday at Lost Plantation.

Wheaton Hall had a 39 for the Rebels, who had a 162 team score to the Mustangs’ 164. Ryan Fletcher had a  40, Bateman Hall shot a 41 and Matt Johnson had a 42.

Matt Olliff and Taylor Landing each posted 40s for the Mustangs, who also got 42s from Dennis Reddick and Justin Ray.

Wayne County was third at 182.

Madison Mongin shot a 41 for the ECHS girls, and Stephanie Simmons posted a 42. Brooke Capwell shot a 43 for the Lady Mustangs.
