Sophomore Josh Wilson was named to the 2008 All-Peach Belt Conference team, announced at the Peach Belt Conference Championships by league officials.

Wilson earns the honor a year after being named the PBC Tournament MVP, and the Springfield native was also a preseason All-PBC honoree earlier this season. He hit .408 with 16 doubles, seven home runs and 32 RBIs, starting all 50 games for the Pirates this season. He led the Pirates in batting average, doubles, on-base percentage, slugging percentage and was second in steals.

His .408 average ranks second in the Peach Belt Conference and is the seventh-highest batting average for an AASU player in school history. Wilson also ranked among the league's top 10 in slugging percentage, on-base percentage and hits.

Wilson and the Pirates saw their season come to a close in the 2008 PBC Championships with a 27-23 record, but he will be one of 19 players returning next year for head coach Joe Roberts’ squad.
