Lady Mustangs take four of six in tourney

After winning four of six games in the Coca-Cola Classic Softball Tournament in Grovetown, South Effingham resumes subregion play today.

The Lady Mustangs travel to Richmond Hill for a 6 p.m. game. South Effingham defeated Richmond Hill 7-1 in Guyton earlier this season.

The Lady Mustangs are 3-0 in Region 3-AAA.

In the Greenbrier High School sponsored tournament this past weekend, South Effingham defeated Harlem 6-2, Oglethorpe County 3-0, North Forsyth 2-0 and Thomson 10-1. The Lady Mustangs lost 2-0 to North Oconee and played Marist to a scoreless eight-inning tie.

The tournament helps prepare the Lady Mustangs for the region tournament next month.
