Josh Reddick (Oakland Athletics) —The Gold Glove-winning outfielder was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a wrist injury. He is hitting just .152 with one home run and 14 runs batted in. He also has six doubles and five stolen bases. Reddick was placed on the DL retroactively to May 7.

JB Wendelken (Greenville Drive) — The right-handed reliever has a 1-0 record and an earned run average of 3.38 for the Boston Red Sox’ single-A South Atlantic League team. He has allowed 28 hits in 29 1/3 innings, striking out 16 and walking 13.

Chris Zittrouer (Armstrong Atlantic State University) — Zittrouer, a senior third baseman, is hitting .335 with 58 hits in 173 at-bats for the No. 13-ranked Pirates (31-15, 19-10) Peach Belt). Zittrouer has 13 doubles, six home runs and 37 RBIs. Armstrong received an at-large bid Sunday to the NCAA Division II College World Series regionals.

Austin Denney (East Georgia College) — Denney went 2-9 with a 4.74 ERA in 15 games, having started 12 of them. He also had seven complete games. He had 51 strikeouts in 79 2/3 innings and allowed 88 hits. Denney also had 13 hits in 49 at-bats for the Bobcats with three doubles, a triple and seven RBIs.

Andrew Martin (East Georgia College) — Martin appeared in 10 games as a reliever and allowed five earned runs on 10 hits in 12 innings. He is also 1-for-3 at the plate with one double.

Mitchell Mincey (East Georgia College) — Mincey had six hits in 39 at-bats, with three doubles and two RBIs for the Bobcats.

Stephen Vaughn (Missouri Southern State University) — Vaughn is a junior reliever for the Lions (34-20), with an ERA of 2.25 in 12 innings over 11 appearances. He has fanned 12 and given up 10 hits.

Softball

Bridget Devlin (Armstrong Atlantic State University) — Devlin was 8-for-37 in 26 games for the No. 2-ranked Pirates, who are 36-6-1 for the season and went 18-4 in the Peach Belt. She had two homers and eight RBIs. Armstrong won its regional and advanced in the Division II College World Series.

Shelby Duff (AASU) —Duff is hitting .340 with seven homers and 25 RBIs for the Pirates. She also has a team-leading 14 doubles and has 55 hits. She is also 9-3 with a 3.33 ERA in the circle, with 54 strikeouts and 65 hits allowed over 69 1/3 innings.

Alexis Mercer (AASU) —Mercer is hitting .362, with eight doubles, two triples, 13 homers and 43 RBIs. She leads the Pirates and is second in the Peach Belt Conference in RBIs. Mercer is also second in the conference in homers. She has a slugging percentage of .705 and has made just four errors in 185 chances.

Tabby Douberly (Georgia Southern University) —A senior, Douberly is hitting .260 with six homers and a team-best 34 RBIs for the Eagles (31-28), who won the SoCon tournament and will open the NCAA tournament at the Gainesville (Fla.) Regional. She also has nine doubles.

Victoria Hilton (University of South Carolina Beaufort) — Hilton is a junior pitcher and infielder for the Sand Sharks (41-4), who opened the NAIA national tournament Monday at home against Cumberland (Tenn.).

Katie Rietkovich (USCB) — A junior, Rietkovich is hitting .379 with 13 homers and 33 RBIs for the Sand Sharks. She also has six doubles and a slugging percentage of .943.

Shelby Zipperer (USCB) — Zipperer, a sophomore, is hitting .333 with four homers and 32 RBIs. She also has four doubles and two triples.
