Josh Reddick (Oakland Athletics) — Reddick is 4-for-11 with two home runs and five runs batted in since his return from the disabled list. For the year, he is hitting .218 with 12 homers and 51 RBIs. He has 16 doubles, two triples and has stolen nine bases.
Zach Dotson (Kingsport Mets) — Dotson finished the season with an ERA of 6.00 with four strikeouts and two walks over three innings. He also allowed four hits.


College
Football
Tovar Allen (Alabama State University) — A junior offensive lineman, Allen started at right tackle in Saturday’s 40-39 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The Hornets (1-2) had 275 yards rushing and 200 yards passing. Alabama State will host Grambling on Sept. 21.
Drew Brindley (LaGrange College) — A freshman defensive back, Brindley did not play in LaGrange’s 28-24 loss to Millsaps. The Panthers will host Greensboro (N.C.) on Sept. 28.
Brandon James (LaGrange College) — James, a freshman quarterback, did not play in LaGrange’s loss to Millsaps.
Justin McIntyre (LaGrange College) — A sophomore linebacker, McIntyre had six tackles against Millsaps.
Robert Scott (LaGrange College) — Scott, a freshman defensive tackle, did not play in the loss to Millsaps.
Stephen Wilson (LaGrange College) — A freshman offensive lineman, Wilson did not play in the loss to Millsaps.
Josh Mercer (North Carolina State) — A freshman running back, Mercer has yet to play for the Wolfpack (2-0), who meet Clemson on Sept. 19.


Women’s soccer
Sydnie Van Curen (Georgia Southern University) — The junior forward has one goal for the Eagles, who are 1-4-1. Georgia Southern will visit Mercer on Saturday.
Marissa Hamm (University of South Carolina Beaufort) — The sophomore did not play in a win over Brewton-Parker. The Sand Sharks (2-3-1) will host Erskine College today.
