South Effingham’s Tiacara Mack was fourth in her heat Thursday in the 300 meter low hurdles at the GHSA Class AAA track meet at Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany.

Mack turned in a time of 47.59 seconds, which was eighth best out of the two heats and qualified her for the finals Saturday.

She was seventh in her heat in the 100 intermediate hurdles at 16.89 seconds and did not qualify for the finals.

Effingham County’s Gabrielle Houston ran her heats in the 200-meter and 400-meter dash  preliminaries late Friday afternoon.
