Mustangs clip Terrors with sixth-inning sacrifice fly

GUYTON -- Jakob Valleroy's sixth-inning sacrifice fly propelled South Effingham to a 3-2 baseball victory over Glynn Academy on Tuesday.

The Mustangs took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on a single by Caleb Radcliffe. It scored Jayce Warren, who doubled, and Grayson Spendiff, who walked.

Logan Rahn, running for catcher Devin Walker and he drew a walk, was tossed out at the plate to end the second frame.

The Terrors got both their runs in the fifth inning against starting pitcher Hunter Morgan. The scores were unearned.

Jakob Gross pitched the final 2 1/3 innings to get the win.

The Mustangs were outhit 4-3.
