Rebels manhandle Tigers

Effingham County (22-5, 8-2) made quick work of Bradwell Institute on Monday, skinning the Tigers 14-1 in 4 1/2 innings at Rebel Field.

Christian Campbell led the onslaught with three hits, three runs and an RBI. Jerid Stokes got two hits and scored twice, and Austin Mealor added two base knocks, two RBI and a pair of steals.

Ryan Harley had one hit, three RBI and scored twice. Jordan Rahn, JR Lonon, Dustin Johnson, Chrys Hawkins and Chase Howze also drove in runs. Howze scored two.

Ethan Johnson led a pitching-by-committee approach. He worked two frames, allowing two hits and one run with five strikeouts. Campbell twirled two frames and surrendered one hit. T. Rigdon didn't give up a hit in his lone inning.
