The Effingham County High School football game with Appling County High School has been moved to Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and the South Effingham High School football game with Jenkins High School has been moved to Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at The Corral.

The Rebels (0-1) fell to Burke County in their season opener when Jackie Chen's potential game-winning field goal on the last play was blocked. The Pirates (1-0) beat Wayne County 12-0 in their season opener. 

South Effingham blanked West Laurens 21-0 in its opener, while Valdosta routed Jenkins 48-7 last week. The South Effingham-Jenkins game was scheduled originally for Saturday at Memorial Stadium at 6:30 p.m.
