On April 16, the 12 and under Rincon Braves placed second in the Effingham County preseason tournament for that age group. There are 11 teams in that particular age group in the county and eight of them participated in the tournament. The Braves have 12 players on their roster and play their home games at Macomber Park in Rincon.

The tournament began on March 31 and lasted 17 days because of occasional bad weather.  Most of the games during the tournament were played at the Pineora complex. The Braves won three games (15-4, 6-3 and 13-2) during the double elimination tournament and have won 11 of the 15 games they have played this season.

Their roster consists of Austin Kessler, Cory Hughes, Dalton Walden, David Sharpe, Joseph Bazemore, Joshua Beasley, Joshua Frost, Justin Edwards, Ryan Nease, Ryan Titshaw, Spencer Carter and Spencer Houston. They are led by head coach Mike Sharpe and assistants Keith Bazemore and Tim Titshaw.

The Braves sponsors are Oce Imagistics and Republic Waste of Savannah.
