South Effingham’s softball team will have to wait for the opportunity to avenge its earlier loss to Effingham County.

Tuesday’s softball game at Effingham County was cancelled because of rain.

ECHS athletic director Tim Hood described the field as being too mushy to play on.

The junior varsity squads are scheduled to play at 5:30 p.m. today, while the Lady Rebels’ varsity squad goes for the sweep Tuesday at 6 p.m.
