The South Effingham Middle School Lady Mustangs downed Southeast Bulloch 9-2 Wednesday, completing region play at 8-0.

Olivia Laverenz threw a complete-game three-hitter, striking out three. Alexis Studier was 2-for-4 and scored two runs, Autumn Conway was 2-for-4, Ansley Brown had two RBIs, Hannah Schurman was 1-for-3, Naomi Sapp was 1-for-4 and Laverenz also drove in two runs.

Laverenz went 3-for-3 with a double and scored two runs, and the Lady Mustangs beat Effingham County Middle School 11-2 on Monday.
Conway was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Sapp was 3-for-5 and scored three runs, Regan Deal was 2-for-4 and Taylor Ross went 2-for-5, scoring two runs and driving in two runs. Brown also drove in a run.

Rami Mesmer went four innings, allowing three hits, while going 1-for-4 with a double at the plate. Studier tossed three hitless innings and also scored twice and had two RBIs.

The  Lady Mustangs blanked Langston Chapel 12-0 on Sept. 18, as Laverenz, Studier and Erika Griffin combined on the four-inning no-hitter.
MaKenzie Kessler and Brooke Brabham each went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Summer Lewis and Brown also drove in runs, while Loren Moss was 1-for-2 and Brooke Strickland went 1-for-4.

Laverenz struck out five in two innings, Griffin notched one strikeout in one inning and Studier had three strikeouts in one inning in the circle.
