Mini Mustang Cheer Camp
The SEHS cheerleaders are hosting their Mini Mustang Cheer Camp July 22-25 from 8:30 a.m.-noon. It is for girls, grades kindergarten through seventh. Cost is $60. Registration deadline was June 15 in order to receive a T-shirt. Late registration is $70 at the door. Registration forms can be picked up at the school. Georgia Thunder Tryouts
The Georgia Thunder 10 and under and 12 and under fastpitch softball teams will be having tryouts July 26 at Ulmer Park in Springfield from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. For more information call Scott Pevey at 659-4070 or Bill Denny at 660-2349.
ECRP Fall Signups
Effingham County Recreation and Parks will take registration for youth football ages 5-12 and open travel football for ages 7-12 from July 22-Aug. 5. The control date to determine ages is Aug. 1. The fee is $60 plus a $30 refundable equipment deposit.
Youth cheerleading signups for ages 5-12 will be taken from July 22-Aug. 5. The control date is Sept. 1 to determine ages. The fee is $85 without uniform and $40 with uniform.
Registration for fall soccer for ages 3 1/2-9 will be held from July 22-Aug. 5. The fee is $55 and the control date is Aug. 1.
The deadline for registration for adult flag football, co-ed softball and men’s softball teams is Aug. 6.
Signups for start smart soccer for boys and girls ages 2 1/2 and 3 will be held from Aug. 1-15. The fee is $55.
Registration for start smart football for ages 3 and 4 will be held from Aug. 1-15. The fee is $15.
Basketball Tournament
The Harvey Rochee Jackson Foundation, Inc. will be presenting their 8th Annual 5-on-5 basketball tournament. It will be held on Aug. 8-9 at the Effingham County Recreational Department in Springfield. It is full court play and you can have up to 8 players on your team. The registration fee is $100 per team. All proceeds will be donated to the Harvey Rochee Jackson Foundation. To receive an official registration form or if you have any addition questions or concerns you can contact Joann A. If you do not wish to play you can come out to just watch and enjoy.
