A three-run spurt in the third inning was enough for the Effingham County Rebels to top Statesboro on Monday.

The Rebels got an RBI apiece from Ryan Harley, Jordan Rahn and Jerid Stokes during the decisive frame of a 3-2 win at Rebel Field.

Rahn led his team's six-hit attack with a pair of safeties.

Ethan Johnson was the winning pitcher. He allowed five hits and struck out 16 while tossing all seven innings.
