Auburn-bound Proctor awarded scholarships

Jason Proctor of Rincon has been awarded two college scholarships worth a total of $68,000.

Proctor is a senior at Savannah Christian Preparatory School, where he is ranked No. 1 in his class. He has decided to attend Auburn University.

On his college admissions tests, Proctor scored a 32 on the ACT and a perfect 800 on the math portion of the SAT.

Proctor was awarded the Heritage Academic Scholarship from Auburn University of $12,000 per year and the EMD Millipore Corporation Scholarship of $5,000 per year. He plans to study accounting and finance before heading to law school.

He is the son of Joseph and Betty Proctor of Rincon.
