Jill Elliot, a 2005 graduate of South Effingham High School, has been awarded the CHANCES Scholarship from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

The scholarship was created to provide tuition equivalent assistance through nursing scholarships for selected candidates.

Elliot was selected for  the nursing school at Emory University, completing an application, having a grade point average above 3.0, having two letters of recommendations, completing a 500-word essay describing why she wanted to be a pediatric nurse and participating in a personal interview before a review panel.

The scholarship provides for tuition for her senior year and a nursing position at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta when she graduates.
