The South Effingham High School fashion show will be held Saturday night, and students have been working on designs since October to prepare for the event.

The students have had workshops to help with sewing, hair, makeup and modeling. There also were workshops to dye and stamp fabric for use in a design.

“There are five designers from last year,” SEHS art teacher Mary Anderegg said, along with several models who are now participating as designers and former designers helping in other areas of the show.

Anderegg, in her second year of working with the students for the show, said there are around 60 students involved in the production.

Designs will be shown in three categories. Designers created a piece based off a famous work of art, using hand-dyed and stamped fabric and in the multi media category where they could use anything but fabric in the design.

The show begins at 7 p.m. and tickets are $6 at the door.
