Locals make Georgia Techs deans list

ATLANTA — Nine students from the area earned the distinction of dean’s list at the Georgia Institute of Technology for spring 2014. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have a 3.0 or higher academic average for the semester.

Effingham County High School introduced its new mascot, Rowdy the Rebel, this week. Inspired by popular sports mascots, Rowdy will appear at school events, pep rallies, and games, giving students a fresh way to engage and celebrate school spirit.
