Miss Effingham County Middle School pageant was held March 29. The theme for the pageant was “Hollywood Stars.” The ladies began the evening dressed as their favorite “stars.”

The 18 contestants were Haley Rowe, Caroline Neidlinger, Lexi Morgan, Courtney Aliffi, Hannah Rahn, Destiny Andrews, Kristina Stevenson, Aby Youmans, Morgane Hargrett, Carolyn Pabst, Dana Brown, Stacy Burgstiner, Ashley Ratliff, Tayler Weaver, Taylor Colmer, Callie Martin, Macy Morris and Allison Dyches.

After an evening of casual wear, formal wear and entertainment by The Coastal Performing Arts Academy and Katie Ward the pageant, concluded with awards.

Highest GPA: Callie Martin, most photogenic: Courtney Aliffi, The Spirit of ECHS: Destiny Andrews, best formal wear: Caroline Neidlinger, best evening wear: Caroline Neidlinger. third runner up: Macy Morris, second runner up: Callie Martin, first runner up: Ashley Ratliff and Miss ECMS 2008: Caroline Neidlinger.

The ECMS varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders sponsored the pageant.
