SEHS NJROTC rifle team places eighth in nation
National 14

The South Effingham High NJROTC rifle team took a 13-hour trip to Camp Perry, Ohio, on Lake Erie, to compete in the SecNav Navy National Rifle Championship.

There were 354 other sporter division navy teams in the competition.

The SEHS team placed eighth, and Cole Hudson was fourth in the nation for individual shooter. Hudson qualified to compete in a following championship.

The team consisted of Chris Morgan who is the team commander, Cole Hudson, Rebecca Stratton, Drake Depremio and Scott Snell, who was an alternate. Snell also finished fifth place.

The team has practiced every morning from 6:30-8 a.m.
