Citizenship has become an "unofficial theme" for the year for students at South Effingham Middle School. Principal Pete Iott promotes the importance of maintaining good citizenship to the students on a daily basis.
Students pictured were chosen to represent their team as citizen of the month for September because they demonstrated mastery of the criteria listed below:
Citizenship — consistently demonstrates respect for other people and their property.
Leadership — serves as a positive role model for their peers.
Responsibility — completes assignments on time and is prepared for class.
Discipline — follows directions and obeys all rules.
