SAVANNAH — The Technical Communications Certificate Program at Savannah Technical College prepares students for careers that require strong communication and technical skills, but for many students, it does something else, too — it may help them earn HOPE scholarship eligibility.

Now, Savannah Tech is helping students and their parents understand how with monthly information sessions held the second Saturday of each month at noon at the college’s Savannah Campus, 5717 White Bluff Rd.
The next session is Oct. 13 in the Administration Bldg. Lobby.

“We want these students to know that they do have an option,” says Executive Vice President Reg Hendricks. “They can attend Savannah Technical College, major in Technical Communications, earn a B or better in the college core classes and transfer after 45 credit hours to the university of their choice, likely with HOPE scholarship eligibility.”

The Technical Communications Certificate program is covered by the HOPE grant for eligible students.

In addition to the public information sessions, the college is working directly with high school counselors to disseminate this information to area schools.

Information sessions are free and open to the public. No reservations are required. Each session will last about 45 minutes. For information, please contact Gail Eubanks at (912) 443-3022 or geubanks@savannahtech.edu.
