Super summer reading program at the libraries
Placeholder Image

The Rincon and Springfield libraries kicked off their Summer Reading Programs for children and teens up to 18 years old in June, and it’s not too late to join the fun.
To register, participants can pick up a reading log from their library or download one from www.liveoakpl.org.
Any type of reading can be included on the log (comics, graphic novels, newspapers, e-books and, of course, library books). Listening to stories read aloud or on audiobooks counts as well.
This year’s rewards include free admission to Surf Lagoon Water Park, SK8 City and Oatland Island Wildlife Center,  as well as free meals from the Original Pancake House, McDonald’s and Applebee’s. Grand prize is a $500 gift card to the Tanger Outlet Center in Pooler.
To qualify for rewards and the grand prize, register online in the Hero Hangout area of the library’s website, www.liveoakpl.org. In the Hero Hangout, summer readers can also post book reviews, see what others are reading this summer, make a wish list, and keep track of books they’ve read.
