Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Gordy are celebrating 50 years of marriage.

Harriett and Vernon were married on June 13, 1959, at Lyons Baptist Church in Lyons by Rev. Fred Smith.

Their children, Aubrey, Doug and Sherri, along with their grandchildren, Parker, Hannah and Jacob, will all join the celebration.

The couple is now retired and spends their time with friends and church family in Rincon and fishing at Lake Sinclair in north Georgia.
