Turkey Branch United Methodist Church in Springfield will hold revival May 4-7.

Supper will be at 6 p.m. each night and the services will start at 7 p.m. A nursery will be provided.

Effingham County native Ted Hodges will lead the services each night.

Hodges is presently serving as associational missionary for the Chester Baptist Association in Richburg, S.C. He is a coach/consultant for the South Carolina Baptist Convention’s Intentional Church Multiplication Process.

He has led mission trips in Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky and West Virginia. Hodges also is partnering with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and has been to Southeast Asia the past two years. He is planning his third trip this September.

Hodges grew up outside of Springfield and graduated from Effingham County High, Luther Rice Seminary and Slidell Baptist Seminary. His mother, Vivian Hodges, is a member of Turkey Branch UMC.

Hodges was the pastor of two churches in Georgia, Union Baptist Church in Register and First Baptist of Richmond Hill. He served as pastor in two churches in South Carolina, Fort Lawn Baptist in Fort Lawn and Putman Baptist in Union.

He is married to the former Dianne Long of Rincon. They have four grown children and five grandchildren.
