Methodist Camp Meeting set to start

The 219th annual Effingham County United Methodist Camp Meeting will be held July 17-22 in Springfield.

The festivities will begin with a service Friday night at 7:30 p.m. A Saturday morning service will be held at 11 a.m. in the dining hall and another service will be held that night at 7:30 p.m. Sunday school will be held Sunday morning at 10 a.m., to be followed at 11 a.m. by a service. The

Premier Quartet will perform at 6:30 p.m., with a 7:30 p.m. service to follow.

Monday through Wednesday, services will be held at 11 a.m. each day and 7:30 p.m. each night.

Services will feature the Rev. Dr. John E. Stephens, song leader Keith Martin and pianist Ralph Long.

For advance dining reservations, call Patsy Usher at 826-2267. For more information on children (rising third through fifth graders) and youth (rising sixth through 12th grade) camps, call the Springfield United Methodist Church at 754-6646.

Infant and preschool nursery and children’s church for ages 3 years through second grade will be provided for all evening services and the Sunday morning service.
