The Averitt Center for the Arts is offering ballroom dancing lessons this spring. Classes will be held Thursdays from 5:30-7 p.m. The program begins Feb. 7 and ends March 27.

The class is being taught by Jimmy and Gail McNeely. The McNeelys have been actively ballroom dancing for 10 years and also teach classes in Savannah and Claxton.

They perform in dance exhibitions as well and are familiar with a variety of dances, including the waltz, tango, foxtrot and several Latin dances such as the salsa and mambo.

It is $120 to attend for the entire session, and $65 if you would like to attend for a month. Classes will be held at the Averitt Center located on East Main Street.

Ballroom dancing lessons are one of the many classes and workshops being held at the Averitt Center this spring. Visual art and vocal lessons are also available.
