POOLER — The Mighty 8th Air Force Museum is offering local citizens half price adult and children’s admission rates from March 14-17. The museum has reduced its regular admission rate for Chatham, Bryan and Effingham county residents from $10 for adults and $6 for children to only $5 for adults and $3 for children’s admission.

It is the perfect time to come see the museum’s newest addition a WWII era B-17 bomber plane, the “City of Savannah.” Museum guests can also enjoy lunch at Chef Matt Cohen’s New South Café. The Café is open daily from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. serving delicious sandwiches, soups, salads and a hot Southern buffet.

Activated in 1942 in Savannah, the Eighth Air Force was an important strike element in World War II and remains an active force today. The Mighty 8th Air Force Museum honors the Mighty 8th’s proud legacy by preserving the stories of courage, character and patriotism displayed by the men and women of the 8th Air Force from World War II to present.

Avoid the crowds and visit the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum. Just minutes from Historic Savannah at 175 Bourne Ave., Pooler, the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum is open daily from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. except on New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
