Fort King George to host 'The Debateable Land'

In the early 18th century, the territory now known as Georgia was one of the most coveted lands in all the world. Europe’s mightiest nations all struggled to control the lands along the Altamaha River.

Come and visit Fort King George on Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. to experience “The Debatable Land” fall encampment. During this special event, visitors to the site will be able to experience artillery and musket firings demos, native American skills, coastal maritime history, colonial medicinal practices, soldier’s life skills, baking and brewing and more.

The highlight of the day’s events will be a battle reenactment at 2 p.m.
