SAVANNAH — The Friends of Oatland (FOO) is holding their annual fundraiser, “The Beastly Feast” on Feb. 6 from 7-10 p.m. at the downtown Desoto Hilton Hotel.

This year’s “Barnyard Bling” is sure to be a hoot. The evening will include a festive feast of heavy hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, live music, Oatland animal guests, silent auction and art show of local jewelers. Join in the fun with Savannah’s own “Possum Hole” bluegrass band leading music and square dancing.

All proceeds from this event support the animal care at Oatland Island Wildlife Center. Tickets are $75 for non-FOO members and $65 for FOO members and half off for Savannah-Chatham County Public School System teachers. Tickets can be purchased at Savannah Art Work, 240 Bull St. or at Oatland Island Wildlife Center.

The Friends of Oatland is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness of Oatland Island Wildlife Center, and to provide physical and financial support for Oatland’s projects. This annual fundraiser helps raise money for animal care, and trail and habitat maintenance and improvements.

For more information on becoming a FOO member, call Heather Merbs at (912) 395-1503.
