Lend a Hand charity to host annual gala April 18

Lend a Hand will hold its Annual gala April 18 at 6:30 p.m. featuring a silent auction of donated items, including signed memorabilia, autographed photos and other signature items at the Savannah Desoto Hilton.

Tickets for the gala are $125 per person, $1,500 for a sponsor or table of 10 and $2,000 for a gold sponsor, which also includes a table of 10.
Proceeds from the event will help support the Village of Hope, a foster community for orphaned children in Batticaloa, Sri Lanka.

Lend a Hand Charity Inc., is a local non-profit organization devoted to helping children in need who were orphaned by the December 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia.

Lend a Hand Charity was founded in 2005 by local entrepreneur Kethes Srikanthan in response to the widespread devastation left behind by the December 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia. The Village of Hope orphanage is currently home to 41 children and 10 foster mothers. The Village also has an on-site school, convent, administrative buildings, cafeteria, auditorium, vocational training center and medical facility.
