SAVANNAH — The city of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs will begin accepting registrations for its Summer Art Camp on April 20. Art Camp runs June 8 through Aug. 28 at S.P.A.C.E. studios, located at 9 W. Henry St. Eleven camp sessions will be offered for children, providing an introduction to painting, ceramics, metalwork, mixed media and performing arts in age-appropriate group settings.
Sessions 1–10 are one-week full-day sessions open to children ages 5-14. These sessions run June 8-Aug. 21 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and the fee is $135 per child per session. Session 11 is an introductory half-day camp open to children ages 4-6. This session runs Aug. 24-28 from 9 a.m.-noon and the fee is $75 per child.
Fees include all necessary materials. A non-spoiling bag lunch must be provided daily for full-day sessions.
There will be no camp the week of June 29. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Registration forms are available online at www.savannahga.gov/arts or by calling (912) 651-6783.
