Savannah to host 18th annual Asian Festival

The city of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs and the Savannah Asian Festival Committee present the 18th Annual Savannah Asian Festival on June 22, held at the Savannah Civic Center from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. This one-day event will feature an entire continent of unique cultures, cuisines, performances, fun and educational workshops.


Festival attendees can enjoy free, live stage performances by Lee’s Taekwondo, Namaste Savannah, Sanggar Lestari Indonesian Performing Group and the Matsuriza Taiko Drummers. A new addition to this year’s festival is the chair stacking Flying Dragon Acrobats and Vida Vongsay and Team Lion Dancers. Several local restaurants will be presenting a selection of regional favorites from India, Philippines, Japan and China.


Parking at the Civic Center is free for the day. There is a charge for food and purchases from the Cultural Marketplace.
