Effingham native leads a contingent into ballroom dancing competition this weekend

With complete control and concentration, Rachael Moore Killingsworth leads her 12-year-old student through a tango, after which they break character for a high-five.
 
“On the tango, practice the corte to roll out on your own,” Killingsworth tells her young protégé, Lauren Sheldon, who was still dressed in her school uniform having come straight from her seventh grade classes at Savannah Christian Preparatory School.
 
Killingsworth writes the order on a sheet for Sheldon, before moving on to the foxtrot, as the both click back to the floor freshly spray-tanned in their low-heel, satin sandal dance shoes.
