The United Way of Effingham County marked the halfway point of its annual campaign, and it’s 75 percent of the way to its $260,000 goal. The United Way thanked its pacesetters of Georgia Power ($15,000), the Effingham County Board of Education ($62,000) and the Rincon Wal-Mart Super Center ($2,860).
