Ashton Kutcher, well-known actor and co-founder of Thorn: Digital Defenders of Children, testified before Congress Monday about human trafficking and specifically child exploitation.

Ive been on FBI raids where Ive seen things that no person should ever see, said Kutcher in a video from ABC. Near tears, Kutcher explained that he has two young daughters, and has uncovered video content of girls their same age being sexually abused on the darknet.

Kutcher testified before Congress about the power of new technological tools that can be used by law enforcement to prioritize caseload, reducing investigation time by 60 percent.

Kutcher mentions in the video that the Department of Homeland Security contacted his team after they reached a dead end trying to find a perpetrator who had abused a 7-year-old girl for 3 years.

He addressed that many see technology as the cause of such horrors, but that it is also a tool in preventing them. Technology can be used to enable slavery, but it can also be used to disable slavery, Kutcher says in the video.
